The Center is located in a perfect place for tourists to start<br />their visit to area potteries. It has the work of most potters and<br />maps to guide them. An experience that we treasure is the fun we<br />(along with other volunteers) had in introducing the history and<br />making of pottery to over 700 Girl Scouts and Brownies. They attended<br />in groups on Saturdays and by day's end left with a Pottery Badge<br />that they worked for and earned. The Center is the very best learning<br />place for Seagrove tourists and Seagrove is a big tourist destination<br />for pottery enthusiasts nationwide.<br /><br />Harriet Ann Thompson-<a href="http://www.hatunderground.com/">HAT<br /></a><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5263843033869833442" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghbF7Vc_SxvHKhiXuqzgZC_yj8hzkZJhOU7E8fkCKoM2cEQ65AVLXXElZsR7xc4kdIOgeT03PieUofJAS92iDdVbtU3O66zkl53c3pD8mI2dF3pIWDim46iO5eHOOvPDrJCHiVSVvUx2I/s400/HAT.jpg" border="0" />about mehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09560026753895208949noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3350772134638484298.post-12844085404472686232008-10-05T07:17:00.000-07:002008-10-05T07:53:02.180-07:00The North Carolina Pottery Center is important to me because<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNR9-fHsnwrs5_eSkDPMUCjmPjuqmECMqMMABIoi_JggW3seGgAqCNbxSLFt4ttX-5tiHMsKEYXLQ-1PZUQFk12si9RRGCPQd4Jf7S9ENUBSNCTe6CV4L7hU2Si-PFkFz0gctfG4NFm-M/s1600-h/0404oct5.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5253664779046874738" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNR9-fHsnwrs5_eSkDPMUCjmPjuqmECMqMMABIoi_JggW3seGgAqCNbxSLFt4ttX-5tiHMsKEYXLQ-1PZUQFk12si9RRGCPQd4Jf7S9ENUBSNCTe6CV4L7hU2Si-PFkFz0gctfG4NFm-M/s320/0404oct5.jpg" border="0" /></a><span style="color:#99ffff;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="COLOR: rgb(51,51,51)"></span></span><span style="color:#66ffff;"><br /></span><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"><span style="color:#ccffff;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="COLOR: rgb(51,51,51)"><em><span style="color:#66ffff;">"I support the NCPC because every time I go there I learn something new about pottery.
