The North Carolina Pottery Center .....

The North Carolina Pottery Center has been an important place to us because-

"it has introduced us to many other working potters in
North Carolina. It has been a wonderful place to make new friends, be introduced to new and different approaches, and share and discuss ideas about ceramics. "

The North carolina Pottery Center and HAT

I like the NCPC because my husband and I have been able to attend
events and view clay art that we otherwise would never have
seen. The Center is located in a perfect place for tourists to start
their visit to area potteries. It has the work of most potters and
maps to guide them. An experience that we treasure is the fun we
(along with other volunteers) had in introducing the history and
making of pottery to over 700 Girl Scouts and Brownies. They attended
in groups on Saturdays and by day's end left with a Pottery Badge
that they worked for and earned. The Center is the very best learning
place for Seagrove tourists and Seagrove is a big tourist destination
for pottery enthusiasts nationwide.

The North Carolina Pottery Center is important to me because

"I support the NCPC because every time I go there I learn something new about pottery. I love pottery and it is my profession. I value continuing my education and the North Carolina Pottery Center provides me with changing opportunities to learn about the history and technology of pottery making."

The North Carolina Pottery Center ..........

"At the heart of the North Carolina Pottery Center’s mission is the life of the potter, historical and contemporary.
As a state and national resource,
the beautiful North Carolina Pottery Center
is uniquely suited to educate the public to value of the
living tradition of making pottery;
this enriches our cultural, economic, and creative lives.
So, the Center is invaluable to my life as a practicing potter."

The North Carolina Pottery Center.....

The North Carolina Pottery Center is important to me because-
"I believe it provides the visitor a chance to enhance their visit to Seagrove by giving them the historical information on pottery traditions around the state. This allows them to explore the rich history of North Carolina pottery while also being exposed to information on current, living potters of today- our future living traditions.
It is my belief that an educated visitor will become an educated buyer."
